Dr. M. Sadiq Malik (Late) : Founder President
Born on 24 December 1920, Dr. M. Sadiq Malik (Late), after his initial education in the village, graduated from Agriculture college Lyallpur (now Faisalabad), joined the Pakistan Armed Forces. He retired as Lt. Colonel in 1967 and joined West Pakistan Agriculture Development Corporation (WPADC) as Director of Projects & Coordination for West Pakistan. He was the Founder of RDF and his passion was to improve the socio-economic landscape of Pakistan, focusing on the rural poor. He was also the initiator of the concept of Integrated Rural Development in Pakistan which was based on the SHADAB project in 1968 incorporating 60 villages near Lahore. Dr. Malik (Late) who was appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Food & Agriculture initiated the case for a separate Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, which was approved by the Government of Pakistan. He authored a book “Integrated Rural Development - A Revolutionary Approach” which was launched on December 24, 2019. Dr. Malik (Late) left for his heavenly abode on 28th Feb, 2021 at the age of 100 years. His death is a great loss and has left a big void which can hardly be filled by anyone.

Javed Sadiq Malik : Chairman
Mr. Javed Sadiq Malik is the Chairman of the Rural Development Foundation of Pakistan. He has a Master’s degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, as well as a Masters in Science in Management from the Arthur D. Little School of Management, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Malik has been a career civil servant for 40 years serving in senior administrative positions of Provincial and Federal Secretary as well as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. He was sworn in as the ninth Wafaqi Mohtasib of Pakistan on 28 October, 2006. Mr. Javed Sadiq Malik was also served as the President of the Asian Ombudsman Association.

Brig. Muhammad Aslam Khan (Retd) : President
Brig. Muhammad Aslam Khan (Retd) holds a unique blend of senior management experience acquired through various military and civil appointments. His professional experience stretches to over 44 years, including 28 years in Army. He holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in Political Science. He has passion for development work, particularly on Pakistan water and climate issues. He has a proven track record of exhibiting exceptional performance at top management positions in various national level organizations. He has worked in senior management position with WAPDA, Senior Joint Secretary at Prime Minister Secretariat, NCHD, Mari Petroleum Company (MPCL), UNDP and CDM Smith. He recently joined Rural Development Foundation of Pakistan as President in November 2022.

Lt. Col. Imtiaz Ashraf Malik (Retd) : Director (Administration & Finance)
Lt. Col. Imtiaz Ashraf Malik (Retd) son of Malik Muhammad Ashraf was appointed as Director (Administration& Finance) w.e.f. May 01, 2019. He is presently looking after all the administration and financial matters pertaining to the RDF.

Zil Ur Rehman Qureshi : Director Projects
Zil Ur Rehman Qureshi joined RDF as the Director Projects in January 2021. He is having over 25 years of experience in national and international organizations in a senior management position. Mr. Qureshi also served in the banking sector. He has attended many national and international training and seminar.

Project Manager : Khushal Khan Khattak
Mr. Khushal joined RDF as a Project Manager in April 2014. He has overall 15 years of experience in the development sector.
