Driving Youth Empowerment Through Innovation & Partnerships 🚀

Brig. (R) Muhammad Aslam Khan, President RDF, along with Dr. Muhammad Nawaz, Senior Technical Advisor RDF, held a productive meeting with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) team at the Prime Minister Secretariat to explore strategic collaboration for empowering rural youth.

RDF presented its innovative DIGICAKE initiative, leveraging Artificial Intelligence and community-driven approaches to strengthen digital skills, entrepreneurship, and youth participation in the knowledge economy.

Both sides expressed commitment to advancing collaboration through a Letter of Intent (LOI) to promote inclusive growth and create sustainable opportunities for Pakistan’s youth.

MoU Signed Between SEM Pvt. Ltd. and RDF Pakistan

Islamabad, June 9, 2026 — Sustainable Environmental Management (SEM) Pvt. Ltd. and the Rural Development Foundation of Pakistan (RDF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding at RDF Head Office, Islamabad.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Ashiq Muhammad, CEO, SEM Pvt. Ltd., and Brig (Retd.) M. Aslam Khan, President, RDF.

The partnership will advance SDG-aligned initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, climate action, and community development.

🌱 Empowering Farmers for a Sustainable Agricultural Future 🌾

A meeting was conducted on 9 June 2026 at the RDF Gohdo Centre under the supervision of the Project Manager, Rural Development Foundation of Pakistan, with farmers from UC Gari Afghanan and representatives of the Agriculture Extension Department, Taxila.

The session focused on promoting sustainable agriculture in line with the SDGs through the adoption of improved and modern farming practices aimed at enhancing crop productivity and strengthening rural livelihoods. Agriculture Engineer Mr. Shoukat Khan briefed participants on key technical interventions for effective agricultural management.

The meeting concluded with an engaging discussion followed by high tea.

🌍 Advancing Sustainable Communities Through Inclusive Development
The Rural Development Foundation (RDF) conducted a strategic field assessment mission in Village Gorsiyan, Tehsil Gujar Khan, District Rawalpindi, to explore integrated, community-driven development opportunities focused on long-term resilience and socio-economic empowerment.
The assessment emphasized the potential establishment of a Vocational Training Center (VTC) to strengthen technical and livelihood skills among women and youth, alongside climate-resilient agriculture and water management interventions aimed at enhancing local sustainability and adaptive capacity.
Through stakeholder consultations, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and direct community engagement, the visit reaffirmed the importance of participatory development approaches in building resilient communities, expanding economic opportunities, and fostering sustainable rural transformation.
