Rural Development Foundation (RDF) hosted a thought-provoking dialogue on “Role of Youth Leadership for Sustainable Development Pakistan” under the SDG Youth Campaign Islamabad, bringing together distinguished leaders to discuss how youth can drive meaningful and lasting development.

The session featured Brig. Aslam Khan, President, RDF; Fatima Jee, Chairperson, One Step for Pakistan; Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri, Founding Director, IG-SI; and Helena Iqbal, Former Addl. IGP & Member, IG-SI.

A key focus was on impact studies and evidence-based case studies to capture learning, strengthen successful models, and scale solutions for wider and measurable impact.

🤝 Advancing Strategic Partnerships The Rural Development Foundation of Pakistan held a productive coordination meeting with Empowerment thru Creative Integration at its Head Office in Islamabad to explore avenues for collaboration and shared development goals. The meeting reflected a mutual commitment to strengthening partnerships, with both organizations agreeing to move forward towards formalization through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

A highly productive and result-oriented engagement 🤝

Brig. (R) M. Aslam Khan, President of Rural Development Foundation, met with Rana Mashood Iqbal, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Programme, to strengthen collaboration on youth empowerment and sustainable rural development aligned with the SDGs.

The Chairman appreciated RDF’s impactful work and endorsed collaboration on key initiatives including Youth Skill Development, DigiCAKE, and community development programs. A post-Eid-ul-Fitr coordination meeting has been directed to formalize a joint action plan under PMYP. A significant step towards scalable impact and meaningful partnerships.

A coordination meeting at RDA discussed the introduction of a Zero Waste Management Model in selected housing societies. Brig. Muhammad Aslam (Retd.) Khan, representing RDF, shared insights on community-led solutions and the IRRC model, aligned with the Saaf Suthra Punjab Initiative and SDGs, with support from AHKRC.
