Human Rights Day Celebration

Human Rights day is celebrated every 10 December to create awareness and mobilize political will to promote respect for the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948.

The 2022 Theme of Human Rights Day was Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All.

The Rural Development Foundation (RDF) celebrated Human Rights Day in Ghari Afghanan, Taxila.

RDF in collaboration with the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) organized a one-day free medical camp in Godho, Taxila. In this camp, more than two hundred people got a free screening for Hepatitis C. People from Taxila, Hassan Abdal, and nearby areas appreciated the efforts of RDF and were grateful to AKUH for providing this facility.
