RDF team held a meeting with the CEO NDRMF, Mr. Bilal Anwar, in his office. During the meeting, both sides discussed regarding potential collaboration in areas of mutual interest. The meeting provided a platform for exploring opportunities to work together towards common goals related to disaster risk management and mitigation.
Mr. Nizam Dawar visited RDF and met with Brig. Aslam Khan (Retd), President RDF. He presented a book by the Founder President Dr. M. Sadiq Malik (Late) to Nizam Dawar.
RDF Signed an MoU with Dr. Akhtar Hameed Khan Memorial Trust on April 5, 2023, in RDF Office in Islamabad. Under the agreements, both sides will work in areas of solid waste management, environment, and climate change-relevant initiatives, research, training and entrepreneurship.
The two sides also agreed in principle to jointly take up initiatives like establishing Integrated Resource Recovery Centres, training of youth as entrepreneurs and capacity building in the area of solid waste management.
Rural Development Foundation installed Bio-Gas Plant in Manda Wala Kayani, Shadahra Islamabad. It produces renewable energy in the form of biogas by using organic waste material such as animal manure, crop residues, and kitchen waste. By generating biogas from these waste materials, it can reduce the amount of organic waste that is typically burned or dumped in landfills, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
