Mr. Muhammad Wasif Bashir Babar born & raised in Pakistan and a very energetic, globally well recognized young water & peace leader, youth ambassador and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advocator. He is an international independently professional & Researcher in the field of Water, Ecological Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) Climate Change, Ecosystem, and Disaster Risk Reduction as well as Peacebuilding since 2008. He hold Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Science (Specialization in Sustainable Water Sanitation Health & Development); Master of Arts (MA) in Sociology. Mr. Babar is an Active Member of World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW), Asia Pacific Youth Parliament for Water (APYPW).
He is leading Pakistan Youth Parliament for Water (PYPW) as its Founder & President which is now as South Asian Permanent Regional secretariat of World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW).
He had been working for youth engagement & empowerment in water, sanitation and Climate Change (Ecology) sector to create young water diplomacy panel, peace & justice to trans-boundary water entitled Blue Peace especially in South Asia. He hold different international awards & recognition in SDGs especially related to water, Climate Change, Peace and global partnership sector.
Mr. Wasif is an international youth leader and speakers on United Nation (UN) Agenda 2030 to transfer our future into a peaceful & sustainable development. He is an excellent professional and organized different national and international youth related summit, congresses, and forums. He played his proactive role as a speaker, panellist and organized sessions in international youth summits, forums and high level congress related to SDGs, Youth, Ecology, Peace and Climate Change especially in Irkutsk, Moscow of Russia, Egypt, New York City (NYC) USA, Kazakhstan, France , Nepal , Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Stockholm Sweden ,Chicago , Loss Angles, Salt Lake City Utah , China , South Korea , Thailand ,Vietnam and Germany. He believes that peace is inevitable for implementation of Sustainable Development Goals universally which can be created by inclusion, integrity and equity.
He organized youth activities included Young water professionals booth, round table discussion to draft youth deceleration to water & sanitation, Moderated Youth panel discussion session on Human Rights to Water and sanitation as well as presented Youth Declaration in 1st Leave No One Behind Summit (1st LNOB) organized by WaterLex at World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Geneva from 7-8 February 2019. He is one of the Co-organizer of International Youth Water Leaders Summit (IYWLS) in Irkutsk Russia every year in September since 2018. While He organized II International Youth Water Leaders Summit (IYWLS) in Irkutsk Russia on 18-20 September 2019. He Participated in South Asia Regional Rapid Action Learning Workshop on Sustainable Sanitation at Sri Lanka from 9-11 December 2019.
