Brig(r) Muhammad Aslam Khan holds a unique blend of senior management experience acquired through various military and civil appointments. His professional experience stretches to over 44 years, including 28 years in Army. An MBA and a Master’s degree holder in Political Science. He has a proven track record of exhibiting exceptional performance at top management positions in various national level organizations.
Brig (r) Muhammad Aslam Khan has diversified experience of water, development, energy and security sectors. He served as the Chief Executive in Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) from 1998 to 2001. He worked as Director of National Commission for Human Development (NCHD). He held the esteemed appointments of Senior Joint Secretary Political Affair’s position at Prime Minister Secretariat, where he proficiently carried out monitoring of development projects at KP province. Remained as General Manager Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) from 2007 to 2012. Worked as Security Advisor with CDM Smith/CIDA from 2012 to 2015.
Aslam, over the years, has developed immense expertise in the water sector of Pakistan and has been advocating at International & national forums, water related issues faced by this country and with possible solutions. He established Gomal Damaan Area Water Partnership (GDAWP) in his native town and holds the position of Chairman He is also founding Director of Pakistan Water Partnership (PWP). He is a member of the prestigious International Water Association (IWA), World Water Council (WWC), Global Water Partnership (GWP) and International Water Recourses Association (IWRA).Is member Advisory Board Center For Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS). Has represented Pakistan at various International and National forums as Speaker/Panelist. His papers/articles are published in different magazines. His work includes ‘Effects of Climate Change mitigation /adaption techniques in FATA and DI Khan’. He is also Chairman of Committee on Water Resources Good Governance Forum and Director Eco Environment Initiative. He has passion for humanitarian and peace related work and is Senior Vice Chairman National Peace Council for Inter Faith Harmony and National Peace and Justice Council. Recently was selected as member Management Committee IWA SWWS SG Leaders. Is designated as Honorary Ambassador International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) for water rights. He also holds position in one of Pakistan Leading Political Party, and by virtue of this position can influence the policy makers on Water Issues at National Level. As a Chairman Pakistan Economy Watch(PEW) he is highlighting major economic issues being faced by the country and their solutions.
